1st Mother's Day
Hi Jennifer and Lifetime family,
This Mother’s Day is a extra special for me this year. Thanks to all of you, I will be celebrating with our newest addition Mason. I remember when I began to doubt that things would work out for us but GOD gave us the strength to endure and filled us with peace. Then a month later we got the call that our baby boy was waiting. He is an AMAZING little boy. His smile, his eyes, his laughter – just melts my heart. Watching he and Kaitlyn play together is a wonderful sight. And to top it off, he has a wonderful birthmom. Thank you for your role in directing, advising, encouraging, and comforting us through our journey.
We, along with four other couples were featured in the April issue of Ladies Home Journal! This photo is from the magazine photo shoot.
Have A Wonderful Mothers Day!

Crawling & Cruising
Hi Veronica,
We cannot believe a year has gone by already! Here's a pic of Jack at 10 months. He started eating table food and has a great appetite. His grandmother brought him a shopping cart that he loves walking behind. Jack is pulling to the standing, crawling and cruising along furniture. He loves to fly and travels with me quite a bit. He sleeps through the night and likes a routine. He is a friendly little boy and brightens the room when he is in it. We are having a blast!

A Precious Start
We have come so far, after one failed match to holding our precious baby boy Evan. Here is our story:
We got a call last October that we were matched and we did everything we knew to do but sadly our first birthmother had a change of heart, she was going to parent her baby boy. We got this news at the worst of time, the week of Christmas. We cried and we prayed. Only a few weeks later we were surprised by a call from Amie. She said there was another birthmother interested in us and she wanted to match with us. We were so excited!
God is a good God and He spoke to our hearts and told us that joy comes to those who wait and those who treat others as they want to be treated. We both felt this match was made by God. We just loved one another. She bonded to both of us as if she was always part of our family. We just love her. As the months went on, we bonded more and more.
When we got the call that our birthmother was going into labor, we took the first flight and he was born that day. Holding him for the first time was like a dream. He was our son! We look forward to this new life that God has given us! We thank you all at Lifetime! Without you, this match would not have been. Evan is only two weeks old and already the center of our world.
To all waiting adoptive parents; know that God has the perfect baby for you! Hang in there, prayer works. If you happen to have a failed match, just know you will get the baby meant for you in the end. Have faith, God does not make mistakes. They wait may be hard but you can make it, just as we did. Our tears are now of great joy! There is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, that precious baby chosen just for you!
Sincerely,
Gloria & Darrell |

Happy Easter!
Hi Lifetime...
Just wanted to drop a quick hello. Hope everyone had a blessed Easter Sunday. We are doing great. Here is a pic of our not-so-little one!

Everybunny Loves Me
Happy Easter! Aiden is now 17 months old (as of today) and weighs over 30 pounds and is 35 inches long! He has now decided he likes singing and it's so cute! He still amazes us with how smart he is. He can say so many words now and he is able to put them into sentences and all of it is understandable! As of right now his favorite thing to tell me is to go get his sissy! And he just doesn't say it once a day...it's all day long! I think it's safe to say he's more impatient that we are to bring her home! But he is a typical little boy...rough and tough and ready to get into something he's not suppose to. He keeps us busy with his mischievousness but we love every single second of it! He is the light of our lives and brings so much joy to us and everyone around him. We hope you all have a wonderful Easter! Love y'all!

A Baby's Best Friend
Hi Amie,
I just had to share this picture with you. Cooper got a puppy for Valentine's Day and they are best buddies, even sharing pacifiers. Cooper is an amazing, wonderful boy who is talking all the time and actually decided on his own that he was ready to be potty trained at 19 months! He loves to play outside and is always digging in the sand or playing on the swing set. Every day, I thank God that He brought Cooper into my life and we pray for his birthmom and her family every night.
I hope all finds our friends at Lifetime doing well, may God Bless you all in your work!

Everything in His Timing
Good morning Veronica,
Here is a pic of our precious little princess "Miss Lailah." We are truly blessed and could not have made it through this process without YOU!. You are the voice of reason, compassion, sympathy, and most of all FAITH, and we are forever grateful to you for simply being Veronica. Lailah is a beautiful, healthy nine pound, 10 ounce baby girl, and we are so in love with her...she is perfect! We are also blessed to have a great relationship with Lailah's birthmom and grandmother, who we speak with on a regular basis. If we could say anything to waiting families it would be..."Everything in GOD's perfect timing, and not ours." Always pray and please know that GOD will answer your prayers, and bless you with the child that only HE has chosen for you. Veronica, along with all of the staff at Lifetime, you all have forever changed our lives and we thank each of you for the role that you have played in the completion of you family.
Happily Ever After,
Joseph, Candi, DQ, & "Miss Lailah" |

Stealing the Show
Hi Heidi-
We’re just stopping by to say hi to our Lifetime family. The past several months have gone by so super fast….I really can’t believe we have a two year old already! It’s been a while since we’ve touched base with you all, but you’re never far from our thoughts. I know we’ve said thank you many times before but it’s hard to see this little guy and not think of you...so again thank you! Here’s a pic of Logan stealing the show at one of his daddy’s middle school games. God bless!

Treasured Twins
Hello Lifetime,
Happy Saint Patrick's Day! Eli and Siobhan are growing so quick. They are such good babies. We spend our days going for walks, reading books, rolling over and sitting up with less and less help. They turned five months this past Friday. We are so very blessed!
Take care,

Cherished Memories
Hello all!
It has been so much fun to watch Zachary grow and change over the past nine months! It is hard to believe that he is almost a year old. The time does fly by! We have cherished every moment and have enjoyed each and every challenge that he has presented to us! It seems like every time we blink, he has made so many changes. We feel very blessed to have him in our lives! We could not imagine our life any different! I can honestly testify now that biology means nothing when it comes to the love that we have for our Zachary. I don't think we could love a biological child any more than we love him!
Thank you so much for helping us put together our family! We have received the final adoption decree. We are happier than we could have ever imagined!

We are having a great time. I talked with birthmom/family last night. They're doing great. I can tell the birthmom still can't believe that we're thrilled to keep in touch.
You know that I/we feel truly blessed and thankful for the girls and for all the help you and everyone at Lifetime have given.
I'm attaching a recent photo to share the joy!

Be My Baby
Dear Veronica, Heidi, Libby, Heather, Jen, Dee and everyone at Lifetime,
“My water has broken!” Rachel’s birthmom said Thanksgiving Eve, three weeks before she was due. We left the thawing turkey and the relatives with Granny and caught the first available flight across half the country before dawn Thanksgiving morning.
In a few hours, I was holding Rachel and visiting with her birth family in her birthmom’s hospital room. They are terrific and we took pictures and marveled over the miracle of Rachel, seven pounds, seven ounces, 20 inches.
After eight weeks, Rachel is the center of our attention, growing and thriving. Elizabeth loves her baby sister and I’m thrilled. We have enjoyed weekly contact with Rachel’s birth family.
Also, thank you so much for being right there on the phone with all the information and resources we needed as our whole experience unfolded.
We’ll be keeping in touch with updates and photos!
Thank you all!
Elaine, Elizabeth, and Rachel |

Cheers to a New Year
Happy New Year Dee and Everyone at Lifetime!
Darien has been the center of attention for nine and a half months already! We have no idea where the time has gone. But, it has been the greatest adventure of our lives! He's healthy, happy and a boy that loves to shake his booty when he hears any music. It's a hoot! He's walking all over and loves to play with his cars, trucks and any ball he can get his hands on.
We have a great relationship with Darien's birth mom! We talk with her once a month on Skype and she will text whenever she has a update in her life for us. She's a strong and beautiful lady inside and out and we love having her a part of our lives! She has plans to come for Darien's first birthday!
We are so very blessed in so many ways!
We wish all of you a amazing New Year!
God Bless you and everyone at Lifetime!

Baby's First Christmas
We hope you are all having a blessed holiday season! As we approach this Christmas, we marvel at the idea that our Lifetime baby will be spending his first Christmas with us. It's such an amazing difference. We can't wait to share "Santa" with our family on Christmas morning! We feel so blessed that God placed Zachary into our lives! He is a joy that we could have NEVER imagined!
Please continue to pray for us as we go to court next week for Zachary's finalization. Also, pray for Zachary's birthmother & her boys. We want so much for her to be at peace with her decision.

One Wonderful Year
Dear Veronica & Our Lifetime Family,
As we celebrated Katie’s first birthday, followed closely by Thanksgiving, we took time to remember all of the events that took place a short year ago. We are so thankful for Katie’s birthmom, each of you at Lifetime and others who have made our dream possible. We have had an amazing year with our sweetheart! Katie is everything that we dreamed of and more. She has taught us so much about life and love and brought joy not only to us, but to everyone around her! There is no doubt that Katie was meant to be ours!
It is hard for us to believe she is a year old already! She is growing by leaps and bounds! She is literally running everywhere now, climbing anything she can find and taking a swimming class with daddy. She loves music and dancing and is saying several new words every week now. She loves playing with other children! It is wonderful how God has brought several other playmates into Katie’s life who are either biracial or adopted or both just like her!
Her birthday was a wonderful celebration with friends and family who have been with us along our journey to adopting and raising Katie. Her favorite parts were getting to eat her own cake (she kept looking around waiting for someone to stop her) and bouncing in the jumper with all of her friends. We have a little thrill-seeker on our hands!
Thank you again for everything you have done for us! We cannot say enough nice things about the wonderful staff at Lifetime! Keep up the great work of bringing families together!
Love,
Roger & Tricia |

Our Special Gift from God
Hi, Dee, Diane, and Amie,
It is with great pleasure to introduce you to Tyson! He is truly a gift from God as is his birth mom. This whole experience has been one of which we will never forget, thank you ladies and all the staff at Lifetime for making this journey such an easy one for us. We thought with us having to move out of the country that the process was going to be difficult, but you guys made it as painless as possible and our journey to our sweet baby boy was only about six months.
Tyson is growing so fast and is already a world traveler! He took his first plane ride at two months old and it was a long 16 hour ride and he did wonderful, he was the center of attention, he also got his first “wings” which are in his baby book.
Tyson is such a joy; he is eight months old now and has reached many milestones. We are truly blessed to have him in our lives. We have had nonstop visits calls and numerous gifts from family and friends far and near. Tyson has this t-shirt that says “Warning I have a cute smile and I know how to use it” and it is so true, one of his smiles can brighten your day! We were in love from day one and the love is still growing. Thanks again for all your guidance.

Joys of Adoption
Hello Family at Lifetime,
I just wanted to follow-up as I'm quickly approaching Madison's third birthday. I can't believe it's been three years! It really does go by fast and I love each moment. Madison has made my life so wonderful. She is such a smart and busy young girl. She is a joy to my entire family. I wish more couples and single moms like myself could experience the joy of adoption. Since my CNN interview on single African American adoption, I have been fortunate enough to meet other couples and single women looking to adopt. I have talk to quite a few who are thinking about the process as well as a few who have completed the process.
I referred my closet friend and and her husband to Lifetime after two unsuccessful adoptions elsewhere, and through the assistance of Lifetime they are the proud parents of Kaitlyn!
This process has touched my heart so much that I want to do more around adoption in the African American community. I would like more couples and single women to know the joys and success of adoption. Thank you so much for bring my daughter and I together, we will always be grateful.

Happy Baby
Hi Veronica,
Just wanted to send you guys over at Lifetime a quick update on Jaxon. He is doing great! He talks non-stop and smiles and laughs all of the time...everyone says that he is such a happy baby! His pediatrician is so amazed at how fast he is growing. He is turning over and is trying to push up and crawl. Watching him discover a new ability every day is such an amazing process to watch. At the end of this month we can finally start the much anticipated adoption finalization procees. We're still amazed at how fast the time is going by and just how much he is growing. He is truly God's precious gift to us. Many thanks again for all of Lifetime's hard work making our dream come true.

Making the Grade
We cannot believe that our little one is growing up so fast.
She has been in a "strong start" program to prepare her for kindergarden.
Sarah was so excited; we took her around the block on her tricycle before going to school so she could burn off a little energy.

Beach Baby
Hi Veronica,
We wanted to share a recent picture of Jaxon on one of his first adventures. This weekend Jaxon went to the beach for the first time and he had a blast! Jaxon is now three months old. He has such a mature spirit about him, everyone insists he has been here before: too funny! He definitely has some of the most interesting expressions we've have ever seen on a three month old - like he has a lot on his mind! Too adorable. Between his serious expressions and his wide happy smiles, we're just tickeled pink by him every day.
Jaxon also got to briefly see his birthmom this weekend. Since she only lived 15 minutes from the beach, we took Jaxon by to see her before we headed home. She was thrilled to see him and really appreciated the fact that we made the effort to have Jax visit with her. She couldn't believe how big he has gotten and she was really happy to know that he is such a happy cheerful baby.
Take care and we hope things are going well over at Lifetime!

Going Places
We are finally starting to settle in following our move, but the clear blue sunny skies were not what we expected. Apparently there is a record breaking heat wave here in Canada, makes the transition from California easier. We have yet to arrange swimming lessons for Sarah, but our friends lent us a wading pool, so for the time being, that is her favorite place to be!

Lotsa Love
Hi Veronica,
We hope everyone at Lifetime had a great 4th of July. Jaxon is now 10 weeks old! He has changed so much it is unbelievable! He was born only five pounds, four ounces and 19 inches and at his two month appointment he was a whopping twelve pounds, eight ounces and 24 inches long! In two months Jaxon has gained over seven pounds and has grown almost five inches -- the doctor wants to know what we are feeding him...and we said well there is the Similac you recommended and the rest is all the love we are giving him...the doctor laughed! We keep thinking he can't get any cuter, and every day he does. Many many many thanks to you guys...and every chance we get we give Lifetime Adoption great raves!

Our Wonderful Blessing
Dear Lifetime Family,
It is hard to believe that our baby Benjamin is now three months old! It still feels like yesterday when we contacted Lifetime Adoption to begin our adoption process. We were expecting the process to take a long time, but little did we know that God had other plans for our lives. We were still working on our profile when we received the call that Benjamin's birthmother was interested in us. From that point on, our live changed dramatically.
He was born a little early, but we were still able to take him home with us at three days old. Everything just fell into place and we couldn't have done it without the help of everyone at Lifetime Adoption! Our union couldn't have been a more perfect match. We thank God every day for his beautiful birthmother and the gift she gave us. He is such a wonderful baby and has provided our lives with so much joy, love, and happiness. To God be the Glory, for He still answers prayers!
Love,
Bernard & Paula |

Absolutely Angelic
Hi Veronica,
We are so amazed at how time flies by so quickly. We can't believe that Jaxon is already six weeks old and weighs over nine pounds! Things are going very well and we are so proud to be his parents. He is growing by the day and is a very happy active baby. He is absolutely angelic! We are truly blessed and remain forever grateful to Lifetime for the invaluable role you all played in Jaxon coming into our home. Jaxon is such a blessing in so many ways.
We are in regular contact with Jaxon's birthmother and are becoming fast friends and family. She appears to be doing very well and she is happy with her choice to place Jaxon up for adoption. We hope to be able to visit with her around the 4th of the July holiday if she comes to our area as planned.
Because things are going so well with Jaxon's adoption, we have had two very close friends express that they had been privately considering adoption. Now that they have experienced how things were for us with Jaxon, they are that much closer to deciding to adopt in the future! We feel so proud to be able to be an example of a positive adoption experience!

From the Heart
Time is just flying by! Aiden is six months old and into EVERYTHING! He's crawling all over the house exploring and pulling up on everything and trying his very best to walk. He pulls himself up and lets go and falls. He amazed the doctor yesterday with everything he can do. We're so proud of him! He's healthy and happy and that's all that matters. Aiden has brought so much joy to all of us.
If you are reading this and considering adoption, pray and seek God's plan for your family and everything will turn out for the best!
