Dear Birthmother,

Hello! Thank you for taking this time to get to know our family. We hope this sheds some insight into who we are and the type of parents we would be for your child. We are the blessed parents of two fantastic girls and have been praying for the opportunity to add to our family through adoption.

Our Life Together…

We met the first week of college, became fast friends and started dating a year and a half later. We were married eight years ago and have been planning and hoping to adopt since then. We live on the sunny eastern side of Washington state where Kevin is the pastor at the local community church.

From the beginning our family life has always been our top priority. That means that we sit down to dinner every night and organize our days around the girls needs.

Meet Kevin…

Kevin has been my best friend for over 10 years and I am so thankful to be sharing the joys and challenges of parenting with him. Although he puts his all into his job as a pastor, our family always comes first.

Kevin takes the time to show our girls what is important. He prays with them each night, talks to them about how much Jesus loves them and lets them know how wonderful they each are. He finds time to coach Hannah’s T-Ball team, volunteer in her classroom and have Friday morning dates with Abby that often include going out for hot chocolate and the library’s story time. He also is always willing to rock sick babies, patch scraped knees and makes killer pancakes whenever a little girl sweetly asks.

(He is also an amazing husband who understands the importance of flowers and date nights.)

Meet Alisa...

Alisa has added a spark of joy to my life each day since the day we met. She is a fun-loving friend, a devoted wife and a deeply caring mother. Our family is greatly blessed by the careful thoughtfulness that she puts into everything she does. Our children have experienced her intentional love from the beginning as she made beautiful baby quilts for each of them before they were born (including a third that is waiting for a new baby!) She is always organizing playgroups and is very involved in the local preschool. She is a teacher at heart, whether in some official job capacity or at home where she is our girls’ first teacher- reading to them, doing art projects, or nurturing their young academic interests.

Our Girls...

Hannah, five, is our little firecracker! She is always on the move and fills our lives with joy and laughter.

Abby is our gentle soul. At two and a half years old, she is blossoming into a sweet, tender girl. She loves to take care of her baby dolls- rocking them and taking them for walks.

Faith and Values...

Our faith shapes our lives daily. It guides how we parent and what we teach our children. Our church family has graciously embraced our children as their own and loves the noise and excitement they bring.

Education is highly important to us. Both of us are children of teachers and Alisa has always worked in education. We want all of our children to be able to meet their potential and we invest in that goal daily.

Our Families...

We are blessed by our caring extended family. Kevin is the oldest of five children. His family is always glad to have one more to embrace.

Alisa is the youngest of three children and was raised by an amazing single mom! Her mom is always flying in to visit us (really, the grandkids!).

In Closing

Thank you again for taking the time to get to know us. We are a strong and loving family of four so excited to expand to five. We have been praying for this child for years and are elated at being this close to adopting.

If you choose us to adopt your child you can be assured that your child will be loved by two devoted parents and two doting sisters. Your child will be blessed by a T-ball coach daddy and a mommy who always bakes birthday cakes from scratch.
